Coastline Community College Newport Beach Learning Center is noted for incorporating sustainable design and building elements, embracing earth-friendly practices including the use of recycled materials, drought resistant landscaping, abundant natural lighting and a roof top garden. Costing approximately $48 million to build, the campus was funded by a 2002 bond measure. The state-of-the-art green architecture was designed by LPA, Inc. to achieve Gold LEED Certification.
BEST was selected by the Coastline Community College District to provide and install multiple Building Envelope components on the exterior and interior, including roofing, fluid applied waterproofing, metal rain screen wall panels, store fronts, automatic entrances, structural glass walkways, glazed decorative metal railings, glass & glazing and sheet metal..
