Oftentimes referred to as the “gem of Pasadena”, the original construction cost for The Center for the Arts dropped from more than $58 million to a little more than $32 million. The Center for the Arts project is a three story building over a basement spanning more than 83,000 square feet and includes a Little Theater approximately 4,300 square feet. The basement consists of practice rooms for band, learning center, storage rooms, and music locker rooms.
The Center of The Arts building has multiple lab rooms, recital hall, lecture hall, large rehearsal hall, recording studios, photo rooms, and offices. The construction of the Center for the Arts building consisted of structural steel frame, metal stud walls, masonry and concrete walls, and multiple finishes.
BEST was selected to furnish and install various parts of the Building Envelope including metal roof panels, metal wall panels, composite wall panels, sheet metal flashing and trim, architectural joint system, weather barriers and roof accessories.
