The Challenges

A National Historic Landmark built in 1922 and known mainly for the New Year’s Tournament of Roses Football Game, the Rose Bowl Stadium has also earned its World-Class Reputation by hosting five NFL Super Bowl Games, the 1984 Olympic Soccer Matches, the 1994 Men’s World Cup, the 1999 Women’s World Cup, the 2002, 2006 and 2010 BCS National College Football Championship Games and numerous
other memorable events over the past eighty plus years.

BEST was selected to perform roofing, waterproofing, sheet metal and expansion joints for this project.

Furnished and installed, all fluid applied roofing, all thermoplastic-polyolefin (TPO) roofing, overflow drains, gutters, scupper openings, roof edge coping and roof walk pads.

Furnished and installed fluid applied elastomeric waterproofing membrane system, drainage sheets, protection boards at arroyo stone retaining site walls, and coatings for all pedestrian traffic walk ways.

Sheet Metal and Expansion Joints
Furnished and installed all expansion joint cover assemblies, parapet wall coping, aluminum collectors and rain leaders (downspouts), prefabricated roof scuttles with insulated hatch cover and prefabricated insulated curb, all sheet metal flashing and trim, and all louvers and vents.
