The Challenges

The glazing systems consisted of TGP fire rated curtainwall and Kawneer 1600 insulated glass curtain wall for the exterior and Safti-First Fire Rated storefronts for the interior.

The exterior glazing consisted of 375 sq ft of TGP fire rated storefront and glazing, 1375 sq ft of radius curtain wall and glazing, 2780 sq ft of punched opening storefronts, 2550 sq ft of high span curtain wall and 700 sq ft of Kawneer Entara storefront entrances and doors with Sargent hardware and Swingmaster Operators.

Other interesting features include a dot-frit curtain wall in the courtyard area and serpentine glazing on the north side of the building.

The main roof areas consist of Sarnafil 72 mil PVC membrane custom colored Dusty Grey and fully adhered over tapered insulation and densdeck all set in low rise foam. The “saw tooth” areas have the same PVC membrane fully adhered to 3” of polyisocyanurate insulation and densdeck mechanically attached to the metal roof.

These “saw-tooth” roofs utilize the Sarnafil Decor system consisting of a
series of “PVC battens” installed over the PVC membrane producing the appearence of a standing seam metal system with the integrity of the welded single ply.
