Safety is paramount at BEST. Training in the form of Tailgate Meetings occurs each week at each job site and other training sessions take place on a regular basis. At the project site level, the project foreman is responsible for the safety of his crew, and random job site visits from other risk management personnel ensure that safety protocol is being followed.

This has resulted in BEST achieving a very low EMR rating. This is the unit of measurement assigned by the insurance industry to each construction company based on the insurance claims history of that company. With 1.0 as the industry average, the fewer accidents and claims made reduce this value and we are proud our recent EMR rating of 0.89, which is low for a contractor in a dangerous industry.
