Riverside Community Hospital
The Challenges
First opened in 1901, Riverside Community Hospital has provided vital comprehensive healthcare and specialized services to the Inland Empire for several decades. The addition of a 260,000 square‐foot seven story tower commenced in 2013 at a cost of more than $400 million and will include 478 licensed beds, new laboratory and cafeteria, four additional operating rooms and Endoscopy expansion, along with a new 3‐floor Medical Office Building and 5 level Parking Garage.
BEST was selected to furnish and install air barrier system, insulated foam panels, more than 50,000 square feet of curtain wall, and 20,000 square feet of storefront, as well as TPO roofing system. Inasmuch as the hospital remained open to patients and visitors during construction, particular care had to be given while working along side with other trades.
