UC Berkeley DM University Hall Envelope Roof Replacement

The Challenges

Originally designed by Welton Becet & Associates, DM University Hall is a seven-story tower at the west edge of the UC Berkeley campus and originally housed the University of California Office of the President. When UCOP relocated to Oakland, University Hall became home to the campus’s Visitor Center and a variety of administrative offices.

BEST was selected to furnish and install approximately 6,000 square feet of Sika Elastomeric Coating at Walls, Stairs and Patio areas. BEST also installed more than 31,700 square feet of Soprema Thermoplastic PVC Roofing & Insulation at designated areas which included the Tower Main Roof, Mechanical Penthouse Roof and Annex Roof.
